The Texas Department of Transportation announced that the Trans-Texas Corridor is officially dead and has terminated the contract with the private company hired to build a key part of the TTC-35 between Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio. “The reason being given for the no-build option is that people don’t want it,” Transportation Commissioner Bill Meadows said. “They said ‘Hell no.’” Source: AP, 10/6/09. |
